Trying rice cereal for the first time...
Grandma Sparkle also just bought baby sparkle a little "Exer-saucer"...
She's just so cute! I think she's the perfect blend of Mitch and Emily.
She likes it for brief periods of time, but then gets frustrated that she's still a bit little to be able to do much in it. We have to wrap a blanket around her waist because she's too small otherwise. But she's been standing steady for at least the past two months and she usually prefers to stand so this remedies the problem of always having to hold her.

Mitch didn't want me to feed her rice cereal until she was exactly 4 months...but I caved under peer pressure. That and I was curious about how she'd react. She still has that expulsion reflex so she tends to push things out of her mouth. She gradually got the hang of it! Her initial facial expression was priceless! She looked horrified!
Next time I'll mix it with breastmilk instead of formula. Breastmilk is at least sweet and might make the cereal more appealing!

Oh and good news for those of you paying attention. Olivia took three naps today! Still didn't get her to bed until almost 11 pm but I am grateful for small favors!
