Be still my heart, be still

Oh.... oh...... ohhhhh! My baby is growing up to fast. Crawling like a crazy woman all over the place for the past month or more. Cruising all over furniture. Being all big and stuff...I stumbled over some oldies but goodies that make me feel like I need to get knocked up quick...baby hunger for sure. Don't worry I'm not gonna! But oh I hope someday in the forseeable future to be able to have another little baby! I kinda all of a sudden want all baby girls! Never ever thought I'd want a girl...but they are so sweet and precious. I was telling my dad the other day that I think baby girls just seem more sweet and delicate than boys and he summed it up pretty well he said "Well God made man first and only improved upon his creations with each new one...woman came second so they naturally are gonna be more perfect"

Here she's real young...about 6 month fetus-ish

Oh I miss those tiny boobs!

Here she is about 2 weeks old comparing feet with cousin Abe (7 months)

Here I am being brave and breastfeeding at the Zoo. For only being
a mom for 2 weeks...this was brave

Hopefully Olivia and Abe will forgive us for this one! You can probably notice that one bum is equipped with some dangly thing between the legs...unfortunately also the much smaller bum! Olivia is much more volumptious! Abe makes her look like a full figured woman alright!

She was so enamored with the kitty feet

Gotcha kitties!

So sweet

Illegally out of her carseat and asleep with mom on the way to Idaho
Just call me Britney Spears...but I wasn't driving!

Not usually a fan of huge baby bows....but look at that face!

Mr. Baby

Mom just got back from her 3 week stay in Utah and in true mom fashion came back with an arsenal of pictures of Mr. baby. Ha ha that was Olivia's nickname in utereo...well kinda miss baby! So I just decided here and now that that is what I am gonna call Liam...seeing how "Liam" doesn't really lend itself to some kind of clever nickname...maybe "Li" (pronounced lee) but I don't think Katie likes that...not that I care I did call my 1st nephew baby bob must to my sister in law's distress. Which I now "get". One of Mitch's sisters calls Olivia "monkey" and for some reason I really hate it. But what can you do? She is her niece and therefore I guess as long as she isn't calling her ugly...I guess I can stand it...So without further A-DO here is....

MR BABY!!!!!!!!!

Mama Katie and Mr. Baby

Nana and Mr. with Halloween hat

Trick or Treat...he's the treat!

Hard day...heel stick and some "manly" stuff

Baby Lamby chair on loan from Cousin Olivia

Mr. falling asleep on the job

Blessing day...looking dapper

Mr. Baby looking very pensive

Big yawns and stretch...even the toes are stretching

I think I called it on the Mr. Baby nickname...he looks like a Mister!

BLEH BLAH BLUP

So for the past 2 weeks the power cord for my computer has been broken so except for a time or two at Mitch's house I have not been able to get on the Internet. Mom is back home from her staying with Katie and the baby and thankfully we have the same computer, sooooo same power cord so back in business.

But my blog absence has left me without much to say. I can't think of anything to talk....blog about. So what has been happening in my life since I left you dear reader. Well not too much, same ole' same ole'. As I once read in a Stephen King book years ago the phrase SSDD. "Same Stuff, Different Day", although Mr. King substituted the "stuff " with a different word that starts with an "S". Being a stay at home mom, especially a stay at someone else's home mom can be rather boring. Wake up early and nurse the baby...she goes back to sleep, I usually go back to sleep until she wakes up again around 9 AM. Take her out of the bedroom and out to the kitchen and family room. Feed her some baby food and play for about 2 hours. Nurse the baby and she goes back to sleep. I shower and usually watch 90210 reruns or A Baby Story. She wakes up approximately an hour and half to two hours later. Go get her out of bed...play....feed baby food...bathe and dress her and then usually she will take a nap again or I take her out to do various errands AKA waste some time at Target or Walmart or the Grocery store. Come home or get her out of bed if she naps and usually Mitch is off work. Go visit Mitch and family and usually eat dinner....feed baby dinner, play, change baby into pj's....teething tabs, Tylenol, nurse baby and hope she goes to sleep. She usually fights bedtime to the death....so either frustratingly try to rock her to sleep or let her cry...usually the former. Watch whatever is on TV...usually nothing much so it's more of a zoning out. Sneak into the bedroom and read for about an hour and then go to sleep.

Jealous of my glamorous fabulous life? Oh boy I need to figure out something else because actually seeing this on-screen as I type just reminds me of how I literally have no life. I don't even wear make-up or do anything much with my hair these days. A combination of laziness, lack of time anyways, unexcited about my looks these days, and maybe a slight depression has left me pretty pathetic looks wise...I see it as a problem but apparently not too much because I have not done much to change it.

Well and now the reason you probably check the blog

What does Johnny Cash and the bath have in common?

Olivia loves them both! Simultaneously. I didn't play music for Olivia very much at Mitch's house, it was loud enough and Megan usually had something on (Ahhhhh Miley Cyrus!). But since coming back home I have broken out the old CD case and Olivia really likes Johnny Cash. We play his greatest hits during bath-time and she gets all splashy and excited and even looks like she's dancing with the music...it's more of a wiggle. And since moving home Olivia even gets her very own bath-tub! With her very own bath chair and her very own Octopus spout cover...I mean hello it's an octopus of course we had to get it!

*FYI Olivia has the long standing nickname in the Benveniste house as "Squids" or "Squidly Didly" or even just "Squidly Dids"...technically an octopus is not a squid but close enough for me!

Anyways she seems to prefer the large bath to her little baby whale bath...aww yet another sign she is growing up :( sad face.

But it seems to be her favorite thing thus far about living with Nana and Gpa Larsen

Soooo if you hear splish splashing and Johnny Cash coming from the bathroom...you can bet that I am dancing like an idiot to "Big River" and making my baby laugh!
